Approve Software and Hardware Annual Maintenance Renewal with SirsiDynix for Library Management System (Information and Technology Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The District has used the Horizon Library System since the fall of 1999.  Originally purchased from Ameritech Library Services, Horizon Library System is now licensed and supported by the SirsiDynix company.  This maintenance renewal provides the software licenses and hardware maintenance to continue to support the Horizon Library System for all school media centers for 2010/2011.

• Increase promotion rates at all grade levels and the percentage of high school graduates • Motivate students to become responsible learners • Challenge and support all students with an appropriate curriculum • Align financial resources to support the district’s strategic goals
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds are included in the Information and Technology Division budget for this expense.  The cost for the 2010/2011 maintenance agreement is $74,977.26.  This represents a 3% savings over last year.
