| Accept Piggy-back Between Radio One, Utilizing the Two-Way Portable Radios Contract, and Orange County Public Schools, Florida, (OCPS) for the Purchase of Two-Way Portable Radios (Business Division) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| Applicable Florida Department of Education (DOE) and district policy allows purchases from contracts awarded by other governmental agencies, district school boards, Department of Management Services (DMS), etc., at or below specified prices. This practice reduces procurement administrative costs.
The district will be utilizing the OCPS agreement to purchase two-way portable radios. The initial term of this award was for two years from September 25, 2007 to September 24, 2009, with two one-year renewal options. OCPS and Radio One have agreed to extend the contract that was due to expire November 30, 2010, for an additional six months. This piggy-back will be in effect until the Procurement Department solicits and awards a new bid in March 2011. The Superintendent is authorized to approve the renewal agreement for the terms of the specifications. |
