Approve the Attached List of Purchases Facilitating the Award and Allocation of Funds in Accordance with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) for Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Part B Grant (Business Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The competitive solicitation process has been waived for eleven of the thirteen vendors, per attached list of proposed purchases; they are exempt, as stated in the Florida Department of Education 6A-1.012 Purchasing Policies. The two remaining vendors are under contract.
All the attached proposed purchases are within the appropriated grant/budget and are in compliance with applicable district policies, rules, and laws. Equipment, hardware, and software will be purchased to meet the needs of students who are visually impaired, hearing impaired, or physically impaired with Orthopedic Impairments (OI), physically impaired with Other Health Impairments (OHI), or physically impaired with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and/or for occupational or physical therapy programs. |
