This bid was prepared at the request of the Maintenance Central Department to establish fixed pricing for two Ford F-350 trucks and one Kubota tractor, which will replace vehicles that have been classified as beyond economical repair.  Award of this contract shall be to the lowest bidder for each equipment item as specified in the bid.

This recommendation has been reviewed by the Manager of Maintenance Central.  A more detailed review of the specifications can be obtained by contacting the Procurement Department.

The purchase of these three vehicles will not exceed $92,000 and the funds are budgeted in Project 5355, titled "Vehicles" for the two Ford F-350's and one Kubota Tractor.  Hillsborough County Public Schools will save approximately $1,800 over the traditional piggy-back agreement by utilizing BidNerd.com reverse auction process for the one-time purchase of these vehicles. 

Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer, who function as a team. Reviews are conducted face to face, typically quarterly, or by utilizing an online vendor performance report. Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract.
