Approve Amendment Number 1 to Contract #LC914 with the Florida Department of Children and Families for Child Care Training Coordination, Learey Technical Center, 2010/2015 (Curriculum and Instruction Division) Added Attachments
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
We request approval of Amendment Number 1 to Contract #LC914 with the Florida Department of Children and Families to provide additional services to include utilization of air card(s) to access student records and information during Department of Children and Families curriculum training and/or child care competency examination sessions.  Although funding for the local and national conferences was included in the original contract amount, authorization language was not included.  The amendment authorizes the Child Care Training staff to attend these conferences to support early learning educational needs in the community.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Challenge and support all students with an appropriate curriculum
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
If approved, the total additional state funds of $6,360 will be included in the divisional general operating budget; $600 for the remainder of 2010/2011 and $1,440 will be added each full fiscal year 2011/2012 through 2014/2015.  This increase covers the air card(s) costs.
EVALUATION
Success will be based at the end of each fiscal year on the number of child care courses offered and exams administered.
