EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Problem Solving/Response to Intervention (PS/RtI) is mandated by the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) for all students in the state of Florida. PS/RtI is the practice of: (a) providing high-quality instruction and interventions that are matched to student needs; (b) monitoring progress frequently; and c) analyzing student response to instruction and intervention to make important educational decisions. PS/RtI can be applied to increase the academic and social/emotional growth of all students. In Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS), seven PS/RtI Facilitators are collaborating with district leaders and they are also providing direct support and training to schools throughout the district. These facilitators are housed at the Velasco Student Services Center. | |
