Approve the Addition of Components to the Master Plan for In-service Education | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Florida Statute Section 1012.98 requires that each district school board shall develop and maintain an in-service educational training program. Descriptions of training programs offered for in-service credit are incorporated into the Master Plan for In-service Education. The revision of the Master Plan for In-service Education is approved annually by the School Board and Florida Department of Education. During the year specific training needs arise that require new courses to be developed and added to the master plan. |

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes) | |
The cost of developing these courses, $35,307.89, is from various budget sources: Title I, Title II, Teacher Incentive Fund and Part I. | |
EVALUATION | |
Required Department of Education evaluations are completed at the conclusion of each training and reported to the state by June 30, 2011. The results of the evaluation will be captured through the Professional Development System. | |
