Information Regarding the Development of the Student Academic Calendar
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Each year, the Calendar Committee assembles to develop a Student Academic Calendar.  The Calendar Committee, consisting of students, parents, community members, teachers, principals and district administrators, review many issues such as State Statutes, start dates, holidays and testing dates.  The Committee carefully follows State guidelines and information provided by the School Board Attorney.  The calendar, recommended by the Superintendent, must have approval by the School Board and be submitted to the State by May 31 of each year.  All calendars are subject to change due to State variations in their calendar, emergency situations, contract negotiations, etc.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  No)
There is no financial impact to the District.  The State funds our District for 180 student days.
