The School Board of Hillsborough County approved a Lease with The Spring of Tampa Bay, Inc. on February 19, 2008 for 192 square feet for the Early Childhood School Readiness Program which provides services for intake and eligibility for school readiness programs in the eastern region of Hillsborough County.  The lease commenced on March 1, 2008 for an initial three year term and automatically renewed on March 31, 2011.  Early Childhood was relocated by the Landlord during the initial term of the Lease into a 477 square foot space at no additional cost to Early Childhood.

The First Amendment to Lease defines the new 477 square foot space occupied by Early Childhood and the annual rental fees of $8,414.28 for the first year; $8,667.09 for the second year; and $9,015.30 in the final year of the Lease that expires on March 31, 2014.  Landlord has informed Early Childhood that they will be marketing the building and if a purchase contract is entered into, Early Childhood will be given at least ninety (90) days written notice with a right to terminate.  All other terms and conditions remain the same.

Early Childhood School Readiness is part of the state/federal funding which originates with the Agency for Workforce Innovation Office of Early Learning.  The funds for this service flow through Hillsborough County School Readiness Coalition, Inc.  Hillsborough County Public Schools provides early education and child care for children from eligible low-income families.
