To Increase the Amount of Funds Available to Vendors Approved Through Request for Proposal (RFP) #10093-DST Special Programs and Services for the Title I, Part D Program (Student Services and Federal Programs Division)

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On October 26, 2010, The School Board of Hillsborough County approved proposals submitted by various vendors through Request for Proposal (RFP) #10093-DST Special Programs for the Title I, Part D Neglected and Delinquent Program.  In this Request for Proposal, the services provided by approved vendors were not to exceed the budgeted amount of $200,000.

On February 16, 2011, the Florida Department of Education approved additional funds for Hillsborough County Public School's Title I Part D grant in the amount of $132,210.  Due to this additional funding, there is a need to increase the amount of funds available to be awarded from RFP #10093-DST.  Title I, Part A and D grant funds will be used to support additional services provided by the approved providers to meet the unique academic needs of children and youth who are at-risk.  Summer program services can now be extended to students served by Title I Schools, as well as students served by Neglected and Delinquent facilities.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
•Â Align financial resources to support the district’s strategic goals
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)

Services provided by approved vendors in the Title I, Part A and D grant funds, in an amount not to exceed $375,000 for a one year period.

EVALUATION

Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer, who function as a team.  Reviews are conducted face to face, typically quarterly, or by utilizing an online vendor performance report.  Prior to soliciting a new contract, the contract administration team must give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract.
