Accept and Contract with MCS of Tampa, Inc. - Invitation to Bid (ITB) #11065 Wireless LAN Array (Xirrus) (Business Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
This bid was prepared at the request of the CCTV/LAN Department to establish fixed pricing for wireless Xirrus products to support the district's Local Area Networks. MCS of Tampa, Inc. is one of Xirrus' premiere distributors and is a Tampa-based, minority-owned business. The Supervisor of Networking/Closed Circuit TV and Audio Visual Repair has reviewed this recommendation. A more detailed review of the specifications can be obtained by contacting the Procurement Department. The initial term of this contract will be for a one-year period, with four one-year renewals, subject to negotiations and mutual agreement. The Superintendent is authorized to approve the renewal agreement, per the terms of the specifications. |

With the exception of inventory, all Xirrus purchases will be funded by each individual site, estimated to be $150,000 in the coming year. Additional funds will be available in CCTV/LAN's budget for the purchase of inventory products and services to support the district's wireless systems. |

EVALUATION | |
Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer, who function as a team. Reviews are conducted face to face, typically quarterly, or by utilizing an online vendor performance report. Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract. |
