Recognition of Schools and Individuals that Provided Exhibits and Supported the 2011 Florida State Fair (Administration Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Over the last 31 years, many individuals and schools have worked diligently to build and display outstanding exhibits at the Florida State Fair showcasing Hillsborough County Public Schools.  During the 2011 Florida State Fair, 26 schools displayed outstanding educational exhibits and four schools were designated "Best of Show."  The district's exhibits were made possible through the efforts of the State Fair committee, along with the financial support of the Education Foundation, and the efforts of our principals, sponsors, and students.  The State Fair Committee is requesting that the School Board recognize schools and individuals that provided exhibits and supported the 2011 Florida State Fair, and recognize the "Best of Show" exhibits.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Demonstrate consistent and effective teaching methods • Motivate students to become responsible learners • Construct and maintain facilities that create an environment conducive to teaching and learning
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Supplies and materials totaling $3,500 was expended from the fair budget which is supplied by the Hillsborough Education Foundation.
