SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve Construction Documents and Guaranteed Maximum Price for Roof Replacement at Hill Middle School
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
On October 26, 2010, the Board approved the issuance of approximately $37,935,000 of Qualified School Construction Bonds (QSCBs) for renovation of roofs and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems at various District sites. The QSCBs provided for acceleration of roof and HVAC renovations previously scheduled in the five-year plan. The roof renovations are being executed in phases to avoid over-tasking available roofing contractors and ensure competitive pricing. (The allocation of QSCB funded projects to phases is indicated in Attachment B.) District staff selected C.B. Goldsmith and Associates, Inc. and Walbridge Aldinger Company from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design and construction management services to replace selected roof areas at Hill Middle School. Project completion is scheduled for September 28, 2011. Approval of the guaranteed maximum price will establish the cost for the project. |
