| Approve the Proposed Contract for Student Nutrition Services with Florida and Tampa Bay American Red Cross (Student Services and Federal Programs Division) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Student Nutrition Services (SNS) will provide lunch and dinner meals to the Tampa Bay Chapter of the American Red Cross for their mass care mobile unit. After a declared state of emergency, a production kitchen will be put into operation, based on the availability of a workable and fully functional facility, to provide up to 20,000 meals (10,000 lunches and 10,000 dinners) for pick up and distribution by the Red Cross. Provided that the following kitchens are fully operational after a natural disaster, either Riverview or Wharton High School will be used for meal production. These schools have the same design layout and equipment can be added as needed. SNS will be reimbursed on an established per meal cost. This agreement shall be in effect from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012 |
