During the 2010/2011 school year, Student Nutrition Services (SNS) contracted with Chef Ben Guggenmos to review recipes and train SNS employees through small group seminars and hands-on demonstrations. SNS is requesting again, to contract with Chef Guggenmos to assist staff in enhancing the quality of food preparation and presentation.  He will provide additional training on a variety of culinary topics to SNS employees through classroom presentations and demonstrations. The Chef will also develop a cadre of local chefs to assist him in these demonstrations.  He will continue to visit schools and work with staff, one-on-one, as needed.  He will also work with the district staff on creating menus and testing food products.

Chef Guggenmos has brought valuable expertise to the SNS program through his diverse culinary skills and education background. He has worked well with student nutrition employees to assist them in preparing and promoting quality food products for children.

This agreement shall be in effect from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012.
