| Accept the Piggyback of Bid 2977BM, Catalog Discounts for Classroom Instructional Teaching Aids, Between Schoolhouse Products, Inc. and Lake County Schools, Florida, for the Purchase of Classroom Furniture (Business Division) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| The district will be utilizing the Lake County Schools, Florida, agreement to purchase classroom furniture. Applicable Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) 6A1.012 and district policy allows purchases from contracts awarded by other government agencies, district school boards, Department of Management Services (DMS), etc., at or below specified prices. Schoolhouse Products, Inc. reduced costs to Hillsborough County Public Schools by approaching their manufacturer for reduced pricing.
This purchase is made in conjunction with major renovation projects for Bloomingdale and Gaither High Schools. It includes student combination desks, stackable student chairs, and classroom tables. This student furniture differs from existing standards, as it is ergonomic. Principals will be able to provide 2,159 students with the benefits of ergonomic furniture at roughly the same costs as the current standard. |

| EVALUATION | |
| Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer, who function as a team. Reviews are conducted face to face, typically quarterly, or by utilizing an online vendor performance report. Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract. | |
