Due to budget limitations, the recently completed renovation at Ruskin Elementary School did not address all facility needs identified during the assessment used to establish the renovation scope.  Staff has identified sufficient unused funds from several projects to accomplish the previously unfunded requirements.

District staff selected Wilder Architecture, Inc. and Williams Company Tampa from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design and construction management services.  The renovation will include lighting upgrades; renovation of the kiln room; new instructional aids; and correction of power, data, air infiltration, and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system deficiencies in selected areas of the school to comply with current codes and educational specification requirements.  Project completion is scheduled for September 1, 2011. 

Approval of the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) will establish the cost for the project.
