EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
As part of the Empowering Effective Teachers (EET) project, district committees comprised of teachers, supervisors, CTA representatives and administrators have created new rubrics for the 2011/2012 school year. All five rubrics consist of components divided into four domains of professional practice. Rubrics are provided to evaluators so that the process will result in more consistent evaluations across the district. Presented in this item are the new evaluation rubrics for: Technology Resource Teachers, Media Specialists, Guidance Counselors, Pre-K/EELP Teachers, and Hospital/Homebound Teachers.
Just as in our K-12 teacher evaluations, each of the new evaluations will be comprised of written evaluations by a peer/mentor and principal (60%), and a student gains measure (40%). |
