Approve Training Vendor Agreement Modification Number 11 to Contract #655 with Tampa Bay WorkForce Alliance, Inc. (TBWA), 2011/2012 (Workforce and Continuing Education)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The renewal of Contract #655 with Tampa Bay WorkForce Alliance, Inc., for an additional three years was approved on October 20, 2009.  We request approval of Modification Number 11 to this agreement as follows:

  • Change contract to end on September 30, 2012, to coincide with the federal fiscal year.
  • Change training programs and costs as documented on Exhibits B for eligible adults sponsored by WorkForce Investment Act (WIA) funding.

This educational partnership with TBWA allows adults eligible for federal WIA funds to access workforce education programs.  During the 2010/2011 school year, approximately 112 WIA-sponsored students enrolled in workforce education programs at the school district's technical center sites.

WIA provides student vouchers for tuition, fees, books, supplies, and tests.
