SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Renew the Existing Bid Submitted by Flowers Baking Company of Bradenton - Invitation to Bid (ITB) #9093-DST Bread Products (Business Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This bid was prepared at the request of the Student Nutrition Services Department to establish fixed pricing with item specifications for bread products to be delivered to approximately 215 school sites. Products include pullman or sandwich loaves and assorted buns.  The initial term of the contract was from August 1, 2009 to July 31, 2010, with two one-year renewals. This is the contract's last renewal.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
The 2010/2011 expenditures were $449,000.  The vendor requested a 10 percent increase and agreed to a 3.5 percent increase for 2011/2012.  Funds are available in the Student Nutrition Services budget for the purchase of bread products.
