SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS

Approve Agricultural Lease Between the School Board of Hillsborough County and Tampa Electric Company for Pasture Land at East Bay High School

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Since 1972, the East Bay Junior and Senior Chapter of the Future Farmers of America at East Bay High School have been using property adjacent to the school owned by Tampa Electric Company as pasture land for the agricultural program at the school.  These pasture areas provide housing and grazing land for the livestock involved in this program, which would not be possible without this additional area.

The term of this lease will be for an initial three year period and may be extended for additional one year successive terms upon written notification to Tampa Electric by the Superintendent or designee.  Any fencing that is now in place or installed by the School Board will become the property of Tampa Electric upon termination or expiration of this lease.

All terms and conditions of this agreement have been negotiated and approved by Tampa Electric Company.
