Approve Acceptance of Project for Interior Build Out (Phase 1) for Horton Instructional Services, New Facility | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
On April 24, 2007, the Board appointed The Architectural Practice, Inc. to provide design services. The Morganti Group, Inc. was appointed on May 8, 2007, to provide construction services. The scope of work provided for the interior build out of new tenant spaces. The tenants included Student Nutritional Services, Student Records, Media Services, Internal Communications, and Staff Development. Unfinished space was reserved for the future occupancy of the Center for Technology and Education. The conference, meeting, and training spaces is being shared by all tenants. The collocation of the Center for Technology and Education with the office of Staff Development in close proximity with Media Services, and the broadcast studio, is expected to be very beneficial to the District. The architect advises that the referenced project is finally complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance. |
