Approve Acceptance of Project for Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Renovation at Lewis Elementary School | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The approved District Five Year Plan included the project for renovation of the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system at Lewis Elementary School. On October 5, 2010, the Board appointed Ossi Consulting Engineers, Inc. to provide design services. On May 17, 2011, the Board awarded the contract for construction to J.R. Long, Inc. The scope of work provided for new ductwork; replacement of the existing air handlers; replacement of lighting and acoustical ceilings; a new energy management control system; a new fire sprinkler system; and renovation of the existing data network and security systems. The engineer advises that the referenced project is finally complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance. |
