The 2012 Employee Benefits Annual Enrollment (Human Resources Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Employee Benefits Annual Open Enrollment for 2012 begins Wednesday, September 28, 2011, and ends Friday, October 7, 2011.  This year there will be four annual enrollment meetings (two with health fairs) that employees/retirees/dependents (members) may attend:

  • September 28 (Wednesday), 4:30 - 6 p.m., Gaither High Auditorium
  • October 1 (Saturday), 9 a.m. - 12 noon -- Sam Horton ISC, Room #102 (Humana Health Fair)
  • October 4 (Tuesday), 4:30 - 6 p.m., Spoto High Auditorium
  • October 6 (Thursday), 4:30 - 6:30 p.m., Armwood High Auditorium (Humana Health Fair)

Members are invited to attend these meetings to discuss their benefits with various product representatives and Employee Benefits staff members, participate in Humana Health Fairs, and even get their annual flu shots (as supplies last and provided members bring their HCPS Humana ID cards).  Each meeting will include a presentation highlighting the major features of the five health plans including:  1) how to compare the medical plans for coverage and costs; 2) which voluntary benefit plans may be most advantageous; and 3) understanding the prescription drug benefit.

In addition to reading the 2012 InfoQuick Enrollment Guides, visiting the enrollment website, watching the annual enrollment video, and attending the annual enrollment meetings, members may also call the Humana hotline at (888) 393-6765 to get answers to their  questions and concerns.  Employees and retirees can make their 2012 benefits elections by visiting the website at www.sdhc.selfservicenow.com or by calling Aon at (866) 522-9133 to have their elections entered for them.  Enrollment guides are available in Spanish and Employee Benefits personnel will be available at all four meetings.
