Accept the Piggyback of Request for Proposal (RFP) #11019-RFP, Maintenance, Repair Operational Supplies, and Related Services Between The Home Depot and Maricopa County, Arizona (Business Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The district will be utilizing the Maricopa County, Arizona, via US Communities agreement for the Facilities Division and school sites to purchase maintenance, repair, and operating supplies. School sites account for approximately one-third of the total expenditures. The agreement is for a three-year initial term, August 1, 2011 to July 31, 2014, with option to renew for three additional one-year periods.
Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) rule 6A-1.012 and district policy allow purchases from contracts awarded by other government agencies, district school boards, Department of Management Services (DMS), etc., at or below specified prices. The Superintendent is authorized to approve the renewal agreement for the terms of the specifications. |

Expenditures were $327,836 for 2010/2011, and $302,773 for 2009/2010. The US Communities bid will increase the current rebate from 2 percent to 3 percent for an additional rebate of approximately $3,100 per year. | |
EVALUATION | |
Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer, who function as a team. Reviews are conducted face to face, typically quarterly, or by utilizing an online vendor performance report. Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract. | |
