Approve the Job Description for Area Support Facilitator (Part-Time) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The Area Leadership Director has been given additional responsibilities and will function as instructional leaders with their principals. This model will include the effective use of evaluation, goal setting, and prescriptive professional development.
Area Support Facilitators (ASF) will receive and respond to stakeholder concerns, complaints, and requests for resolution of school issues. The ASF will collect and utilize data from communications to identify trends, patterns, and needs for professional development, provide immediate intervention, and coordinate with the Area Leadership Director. (Job description attached.) The Area Leadership Director will have more time to support, evaluate, and develop principals within their areas. |

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: No) | |
The Wallace grant will free approximately $350,000 of Part I dollars, which will support eight ASFs working four hours per day for 205 days at a pay rate of $36 per hour, with no benefits -- allowing $125,000 to remain in Part I of the budget. | |
