Recognition of the Florida Hispanic Heritage Essay Contest Winner (Secondary Education - Curriculum and Instruction Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
A King High School International Baccalaureate senior was honored at the governor's mansion October 12, 2011, as the high school winner of the Florida Hispanic Heritage Essay Contest. The winner received a four-year Florida College Plan scholarship provided by Florida Prepaid College Foundation.
Middle and high school students were invited to participate in the essay contest. Florida's theme for this year's Hispanic Heritage Month was "Celebrating Hispanic Leaders in Business - Past, Present, and Future." |
