SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve Cooperative Agreement for Use of Facility for the Alternative To Out-of-School Suspension (ATOSS) Program at Steinbrenner Boys & Girls Club for the 2011/2012 School Year
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On June 14, 2011, the School Board approved the Cooperative Agreements for Use of Facilities for 12 Alternative To Out-of-School Suspension (ATOSS) Program sites.  Due to financial difficulties with the City and County Parks and Recreation departments, two of the sites were not able to open.  Since this program is an essential piece for many students' academic progress, the district has secured an additional site at Steinbrenner Boys & Girls Club.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
All Strategic Objectives
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  No)
The addition of this site will not increase costs to the district since these funds have already been allocated for ATOSS use.
EVALUATION
A comprehensive evaluation of all aspects of the ATOSS Program will be conducted by June 30, 2012.  District staff will review data, including but not limited to, notes and walk-through checklists from site visits, results of student exit, school administrator and parent surveys, and student participation rates.
