| Recognition of Just Read, Florida! Literacy Leader of the Year for 2011 (Secondary Education - Curriculum and Instruction Division) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| Florida school districts were invited by the Florida Department of Education to nominate outstanding literacy leader administrators at the district and school level who demonstrate superior leadership qualities, advance policies to foster excellence in literacy education at all levels, and are committed to literacy. The 2011 regional and state level literacy award winners were chosen by a committee comprised of education, business and civic leaders in a formal selection process conducted by the Just Read, Florida Office of the Florida Department of Education
The Just Read, Florida! Literacy Reading Leadership Award winner received recognition from the state level executives of the Florida Department of Education and a plaque in appreciation of her enduring commitment to literacy. We are honored to recognize this literacy champion for her commitment to the critical skill of reading and her efforts to make literacy a top priority in our schools and classrooms. Her dedication and enthusiasm to student success is an asset to our district.
