Approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Between Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) and the University of South Florida (USF) for its College of Education (COEDU) for the Tampa Bay Educational Partnership (Student Services and Federal Programs Division) |

| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| Hillsborough County Public Schools and the University of South Florida have enjoyed a long-standing collaborative partnership over the years. This three-year MOU serves to further enhance and expand the collaboration through the Tampa Bay Education Partnership (TBEP) by establishing a Director of the TBEP that will also serve as the Associate Director of the David C. Anchin Center. This Director will function as the link between the two entities for research interests, in communication of proposed projects, in establishing networks, and in facilitating contracts and grants. Additionally, the Director will vet proposed projects with the appropriate personnel from all of the colleges on the Tampa campus of USF. This coordinated approach will align strategies to provide comprehensive services that are mutually beneficial to HCPS, USF and to the community we both serve. The attached MOU outlines in detail the responsibilities of each party. | |

| The partnership will be entered into at no cost to the district. The Director of the TBEP will be funded through USF. | |
| EVALUATION | |
| The efficacy of the TBEP will be evaluated annually that will allow HCPS and USF to amend the scope of work and establish a continuation of the TBEP to meet the evolving needs of both institutions. | |
