Approve a Contract for Medicaid Data Management Partnership with The School Board of Hernando County, FL, January 1, 2012 - December 31, 2013 (Business Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The School Board of Hillsborough County, FL (HCPS) has provided Medicaid “fee-for-service” billing for The School Board of Hernando County, FL (Hernando) since February 1, 2009. This relationship has been beneficial to both parties and has been accomplished without hindering the HCPS program. The contract has allowed HCPS to assist Hernando to avoid revenue shortages due to the lack of capabilities to bill Medicaid. HCPS has the unencumbered capacity to continue to accept responsibility for processing Medicaid billing for Hernando for the period of the contract, January 1, 2012 – December 31, 2013.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES | |
•Â Align financial resources to support the district’s strategic goals
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: No)
Anticipated annual revenue based on Hernando’s record of Medicaid revenue will be $3,000 annually. HCPS has unencumbered capacity for Medicaid billing; therefore, no additional expense is anticipated for HCPS.
