Approve the License Agreement with the City of Tampa for the Cougar Invitational Wrestling Tournament, December 1-3, 2011 (Curriculum and Instruction Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
We request approval of the license agreement with the City of Tampa for use of the Tampa Convention Center for the Cougar Invitational Wrestling Tournament December 2-3, 2011. The cost of the rental of the facility will be waived.
The Cougar Invitational attracts over 35 wrestling teams from within the state of Florida and out-of state. A large crowd of spectators is anticipated as well. Utilization of the Tampa Convention Center will allow adequate space to safely facilitate this tournament. |

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: No) | |
The license agreement fee is $12,000. This fee will be waived by the City of Tampa. The projected operational costs of $3,842 for this event will be covered by ticket sales and entry fees. | |
