On October 26, 2010, the Board approved the issuance of approximately $37,935,000 of Qualified School Construction Bonds (QSCBs) for renovation of roofs and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems at various District sites. The QSCBs provided for acceleration of roof and HVAC renovations previously scheduled in the five-year plan. (QSCB funded projects are indicated in the attachment.) District staff selected Mechanical Engineering Solutions, Inc. from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design services for a project to replace the HVAC chiller at South County Career Center, and Turkey Creek and Davidsen Middle Schools.
