Approve Facilitated Training and License Agreement with Fierce, Inc. (Division of Administration)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Effective education reform demands an emphasis on developing our human capital, which is what principals will focus on in this two-day training designed to teach how to effectively have four types of conversations with employees: coaching, collaborative, delegation, and confrontational. Through this contract, Fierce, Inc. will provide training (in a train-the-trainer format) for a group of ten district principals who will then be certified to re-train other principals in the district using the Fierce, Inc. curriculum. The contract also includes rights to the training material and curriculum.

Fierce, Inc. will become a required course for new principals as part of our New Principal Induction Program. We will also use the course with veteran principals until all current principals have been trained.  Fierce, Inc. provides educational services and holds copyright on all materials, therefore, is exempt from the solicitation process per Florida Department of Education rule 6A 1.012.
