Approve Construction Documents and Guaranteed Maximum Price for Modular Additions at 2 Sites (Leto High School, Chamberlain High School)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

District staff combined requirements for portable demolition and modular installation at Leto and Chamberlain High Schools into a single project and selected Long & Associates Architects/Engineers, Inc. and Halfacre Construction Company from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design and construction management services.  The scope of work provides for demolition of four portables, and site work and utility connections for two new athletic modulars and two air conditioned storage containers at Leto and Chamberlain. Demolition of eleven other portables at multiple sites as indicated in an attachment is also included in the project scope. Project completion is scheduled for May 28, 2012.

Approval of the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) will establish the cost for the project.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Construction cost is warranted at $416,079.97.  The construction budget is $416,100.  This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Local Millage.
