Approve Acceptance of Project for Modular Installation at LaVoy Exceptional Center | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
On May 3, 2011, the Board approved the use of Community Investment Tax proceeds for replacement of obsolete and non-economically repairable portable facilities with modular buildings. District staff selected Long & Associates Architects/Engineers, Inc. and The A. D. Morgan Corporation from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design and construction management services for a portion of the portable replacement requirements at LaVoy Exceptional Center. The project scope included demolition of eight portables at LaVoy; site preparation, site utilities and connection of eight new modular buildings; and build-out to meet Owner requirements. The architect advises that the referenced project is finally complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance. |
