Approve Construction Documents and Guaranteed Maximum Price for 2012 Modular Installations at Multiple Sites
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

District staff combined requirements for replacement of obsolete and non-economically repairable portable facilities with modular buildings at multiple sites into a single project and selected The Architectural Practice, Inc. and Halfacre Construction Company from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design and construction management services.  The scope of work provides for portable demolition, site preparation and utility connections of modular clinics and classrooms at nine sites, and portable demolition only at four additional sites (list attached).  Project completion is scheduled for August 12, 2012.

Approval of the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) will establish the cost for the project.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Construct and maintain facilities that create an environment conducive to teaching and learning
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)

Construction cost is warranted at $1,470,770.  The construction budget is $1,471,000.  This item is included in the District Capital Outlay: Land Proceeds.
