Recognition of Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union and Toyota of Tampa Bay for Attendance Alliance with Hillsborough County Public Schools and Support of Students with Perfect Attendance K-12  (Student Services and Federal Programs Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Twelve years ago, Deputy Superintendent Beth Shields initiated an annual attendance incentive program for schools that meet or exceed the district goal of 96% student attendance.  This year nine students will be recognized and receive awards for achieving 13 years of perfect attendance.  Those students are:

  • Jacob Bingham, Durant High School
  • Derek Birch, Alonso High School
  • Abigail Bridges, Newsome High School
  • Kristalyn Fernandez, Chamberlain High School
  • Heather Koch, King High School
  • Samuel Nowakowski, Durant High School
  • Ryan Rosenkranz, Spoto High School
  • Adam Skolnick, Plant City High School
  • Michael Sykes, Plant City High School

The district would also like to thank and recognize our community partners, Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union and Toyota of Tampa Bay, for their support of our students with exemplary attendance.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Increase promotion rates at all grade levels and the percentage of high school graduates • Motivate students to become responsible learners
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds totaling $800 from the Part 1 budget were used to provide this recognition.
EVALUATION
At the end of each school year, the Supervisor of Attendance will conduct a search of the district's student database to determine seniors who qualify for the Perfect Attendance Award K-12.
