SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve Renewal with Aventa Learning, LLC and Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) for the 2012/2013 School Year (Curriculum and Instruction Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Aventa Learning, LLC provides HCPS with online courses for a variety of purposes and student populations from students at risk of not graduating to the Advanced Placement (AP) students needing a more challenging curriculum which is not offered through our existing virtual curriculum.  This agreement provides for unlimited use throughout HCPS.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds are available through Supplemental Academic Instruction (SAI)-$500,000; Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)-$50,000; Comprehensive Reading Plan (CRP)-$150,000; and Workforce Development-$50,000 for a total of $750,000 for unlimited licenses.
EVALUATION
Program evaluation will be based on the percent of students successfully completing coursework.
