Small Business Encouragement Program - Goods and Services Update | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Over the last six months, the Office of Supplier Diversity, Facilities Department and Procurement Department have placed a greater emphasis on the district's efforts in the area of goods and service opportunities. This update is submitted to provide to the School Board an overview of the results of this emphasis.
There was over $4,000,000 more spent with Small Business Enterprise (SBE) vendors in 2011-12, a more than 24% increase over 2010-2011. This substantial increase was accomplished even though budgets were smaller in 2011-12. The update also provides a highlight of those components that have led to the fiscal year 2012 outcome. |
