Approve the Affiliation Agreement between the University of South Florida, College of Nursing and The School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida (Student Services and Federal Programs Division) |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY |
Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner students and Registered Nurse students who are enrolled in the College of Nursing may use the School Health Services Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners and Registered Nurses as Preceptors for clinical practice. The number of students (normally approximately 50), specific dates, and sites will be determined prior to the student’s clinical rotation. This will be agreed upon by both parties prior to the student’s rotation. Nursing students will be accompanied by School Health Services Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners or Registered Nurses. Learning experiences will be planned by the Staff Registered Nurses or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners in collaboration with the College of Nursing Faculty. |

School District Staff Registered Nurses and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners will incorporate students into their normal work schedule. Nursing students will be supervised while they participate in school observations, health screenings and daily activities in the school clinic.

EVALUATION |
Evaluation of Nursing and Nurse Practitioner students will be completed collaboratively between the College of Nursing Faculty, the School District Staff Registered Nurses, and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners that are responsible for the student’s clinical experience. |
