SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve Agreement with the Tampa Bay Arts and Education Network (TBAE) to Provide Video Broadcast Services (Information and Technology Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Since 2008, TBAE (formerly Tampa Educational Cable Consortium) has carried Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) video programs on the Education Channel with an annual purchase order to cover the a la carte fees.  It is recommended that TBAE continue providing services for programming produced by HCPS, including School Board meetings, Math Homework Hotline, Spotlight on Seniors, and other programming.  Video broadcast will be provided on an a la carte basis according to the rates specified on the attached letter from TBAE.

• Align financial resources to support the district’s strategic goals
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
The annual cost of these services will not exceed the amount of $166,000, funded from the Information and Technology Division budget.
EVALUATION
TBAE and district staff will meet quarterly to assess the quality of services and determine the best use of broadcast time.
