EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The Geographic Bee and the History Bee competitions are national contests for middle grade students held in Washington, D.C.
Schools participate in the National Geographic Bee using materials prepared by the National Geographic Society. The contest is designed to encourage teachers to include geography in their classrooms, spark student interest in the subject, and increase public awareness about geography. The national contest was held on May 24, 2012. The National History Bee is an individual academic competition for students that tests knowledge of a wide range of historical topics. The national contest was held on May 12, 2012. We are proud to recognize students from Liberty and Farnell middle schools as state winners from Hillsborough County who went on to compete at the national level. |
