Approve the Reorganization of the Customer Service and Support Department
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This reorganization was initiated as a result of the retirement of the Manager of Customer Service and Support.  Reorganization of this Department will result in the elimination of the following three positions: Department Manager of Technology Support position, one Electronic Tech 3 position, and one District Resource Teacher (DRT) position. These duties will be moved to two upgraded positions:  Department Manager, Services and Support and the Supervisor of Electronic Technicians.  The cost for this reorganization and savings can be found in the financial impact section as well as on Attachment A.  Organizational charts are attached (current chart - Attachment B; proposed chart - Attachment C).

• Recruit, develop, and retain a highly effective, diverse workforce • Align the performance management system with the district’s priorities • Provide for a district-wide succession planning structure and visible career ladder • Align financial resources to support the district’s strategic goals • Demonstrate best financial practices
