SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve Two Component Additions to the Master Plan for In-service Education
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Florida Statute Section 1012.98 requires that each district school board shall develop and maintain an in-service educational training program. Descriptions of training programs offered for in-service credit are incorporated into the Master Plan for In-service Education. The revision of the Master Plan for In-service Education is approved annually by the School Board and Florida Department of Education. During the year, specific training needs arise that require new courses to be developed and added to the master plan.
The attached components, Next Generation Content Area Reading Professional Development (NG CAR-PD) and Next Generation Content Area Reading Professional Development (NG CAR-PD) Practicum are being added to the Master Inservice Plan in order to help teachers support reading in every class. |
