SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve Contract for Medicaid Data Management Partnership with The School Board of Manatee County, FL (Business Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The School Board of Hillsborough County, FL (HCPS) has provided Medicaid "fee-for-service" billing for three other Florida school districts since February 1, 2009. These relationships have been beneficial to both parties and have been accomplished without hindering the HCPS program. In fact, HCPS program has grown in revenue, without additional expense, by 41 percent during this period since 2009.
The contracts have allowed HCPS to assist these school districts to avoid revenue shortages due to the lack of capabilities by the districts to bill Medicaid. HCPS has the capacity to continue to accept responsibility for processing Medicaid billing for The School Board of Manatee County, FL. |
|
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES | |
•Â Align financial resources to support the district’s strategic goals
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: No)
Anticipated annual revenue based on past records of the three districts from Medicaid revenue will be $7,000 annually. No additional expense is anticipated for HCPS.
