SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the Amendment to the Agreement for Technical Services with the Arts Council of Hillsborough County for the 2012/2013 Artists-in-the-Schools Program (Administration Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On September 11, 2012, the School Board approved the Agreement for Technical Services (ATS) with the Arts Council of Hillsborough County to provide the Artists-in-the-Schools Program. The amount approved was $121,332 with funds available in the divisional fixed budget. The scope of services included the statement “Arts Council also provides additional guidance, scheduling, and payment services for arts magnet schools, Ed-Venture schools, and programs that are purchased by schools."

Although the scope was inclusive of all programs, the dollar amount did not reflect the total expenditure.  Pending Board approval, funds in the amount of $59,400 will be added to include Magnet locations, Ed-Venture schools (Just, Potter and Washington Elementary), and Miles Elementary.

STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Motivate students to become responsible learners
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $35,000 for magnet schools are available in Project 5307.  An additional $17,400 is available in Project 2456 from the School Improvement Grant, and $7,000 is available in Project 2395 from Title 1 Funds.
