Recognition of The American Academy for Their High School Retrieval Program | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The American Academy is a dropout retrieval program designed to assist students attain a high school diploma. Through technology, mentoring, and tutoring it provides students with instruction and support. As a result, six students received their high school credits and were able to graduate from their neighborhood high school. Presently, there are 19 students remaining in the program who were enrolled during the 2011/2012 school year who are working towards graduating in the near future. |

• Increase promotion rates at all grade levels and the percentage of high school graduates | |
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: No) | |
The American Academy provides services to students enrolled in the program at no cost to the school district when it is determined that they are not eligible for FTE funding from the State of Florida. | |
EVALUATION | |
Six students were able to attain a high school diploma in the Spring of 2012. | |
