Approve the Agreement for Technical Services with New Teacher Center (Administration Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Hillsborough County Public Schools will partner with New Teacher Center to transform school leadership practices through the development of Area Leadership Directors in the areas of effective supervision, coaching, observation, and feedback.
Area Leadership Directors will be involved in training once per month and will be coached in the field as they work to develop principals as instructional leaders that are able to create positive school cultures and improve teaching practice and student learning. The training provided to Area Leadership Directors will be customized to meet the needs of leaders in Hillsborough County. |

Funds in the amount of $157,500 are available from the Wallace Foundation grant. | |
EVALUATION | |
In order to track the effectiveness of the Area Leadership Director training and coaching, principals will be asked to complete impact surveys providing input into Area Leadership Director impact on their practice. Area Leadership Directors will also provide feedback on the effectiveness of the training modules and coaching. | |
