Adoption of Proclamation – Student Services Week, March 4-8, 2013 (Student Services and Federal Programs Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Each year the Florida Department of Education declares a week, “Student Services Week.” Locally, this week will be celebrated March 4-8, 2013. During the month of March, local principals and school district personnel recognize the positive work of these staff members, which strengthens student learning and family/community involvement. The Board acknowledges the important role that school nurses, school psychologists, school social workers, student intervention specialists, and dropout prevention specialists play in the academic, personal/social, emotional development, career development, and health of students in our school district.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Increase promotion rates at all grade levels and the percentage of high school graduates • Motivate students to become responsible learners
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  No)
There is no financial impact to the district.
